Baking liners make sweet gift toppers for Mother's Day, or anytime. Nesting pastel papers in different sizes -- petit four, mini muffin, and cupcake -- creates fluffy blooms that will add a flourish to beribboned presents. You'll find liners in the baking section of grocery stores and housewares stores. Combine a bunch, then secure with a brass fastener.
I am not considered a shoe girl but a purse girl. Well, lately I've been noticing that all of my mom friends are sporting these super cute flip flops and I'm still wearing my black Teva flip flops. A girl can never have too many purses if you ask me. I have loved purses since I was a little girl and remember spending hours playing with my mom's purses! Anyway, I stumbled on this super cute project from www.MarthaStewart.com and thought you might like to make it with your little girl. Enjoy!
Tools and Materials
Pocketbook template
Wool felt
Fabri-Tac glue
Hand punch
Boa, necklace, or scarf (for handle)
Plastic rhinestones, butterflies, and flowers (optional)
No-Sew, Fancy Kids' Pocketbook How-To
1. Download and print pocketbook template.
2. Cut out wool felt shape using template.
2. Glue seams with Fabri-Tac.
3. Punch two holes through both layers. To add a handle, use a boa, necklace, or scarf.
4. Glue on embellishments to the pocketbook, such as plastic rhinestones, butterflies, and flowers.
